# Privacy on Luna: tap to start, nothing sends until you say yes

Double-tap turns Luna’s mics off. Capture is not the same as sending. Here is the honest version.

## What Luna hears

Luna is a pendant with two mics and no camera. It hears your day so Samantha, on your phone and in your earbuds, can speak up when something matters.

That only works if the control is obvious.

## Tap to start and stop

Tap Luna twice and its mics turn off. Tap again when you want them on. You should be able to feel the change without opening an app.

## Nothing leaves until you say yes

Listening on the pendant is not the same as sending your day to Moonshot. Capture stays with you until you choose to send it. If you are not sure what is happening in a moment, keep the mics off, or keep the send off, until you are.

## What we are still honest about

Our [privacy page](/privacy) already says where Moonshot is less private than we want it to be: ads measurement on this website, suppliers that help Samantha run, and the fact that other people near you can end up in a transcript. Read that page for the current product, not this summary.

## Care and research

Some care use cases stay research-only. We do not claim medical diagnosis, and we do not sell profiles of you or of people around you.

## If you reserved

A $1 reservation is a Stripe checkout. Stripe holds the card; we see name, email, phone, and that you paid $1\. Reply to your receipt any day for the dollar back.
