Samantha: questions and answers
Samantha is a phone app by Moonshot (67 Labs, Inc., San Francisco, backed by Y Combinator).
What is Samantha?
Samantha is a phone app that keeps your day. Every day's transcript is searchable in the app, and when something you said you'd do comes due, she tells you out loud.
How is Samantha different from a notes app or a voice recorder?
Notes and recordings wait for you to open them. Samantha keeps what you say you'll do and brings it up when it's due: if you're talking with her she says it right there, and if not she calls your phone and tells you when you pick up.
How does Samantha remind me?
Out loud. If you miss her call, it waits until she can tell you.
Can I search what I said?
Yes. She keeps your day, and every day's transcript is searchable in the app.
Can I change or delete what she remembers?
Under "I remember" you can tell her something to keep, edit what she knows, or let it go.
Can I take my memory to ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. She can hand everything she knows about you to Claude or ChatGPT, or write it into a Google Doc.
How much does Samantha cost?
Samantha costs $25 today, with a full refund in 7 days, then $25/mo founding for the first 12 monthly payments, then $50/mo. Billed monthly; cancel anytime. The founding price ends Tuesday, Nov 10, 2026, Pacific; after that, $50 today and $50/mo.
How do I get a refund?
Reply "refund" to the welcome email within 7 days. The full $25 comes back and the plan is cancelled. No questions.
What phones does it work on?
It's an app for your phone. After you pay, the welcome email has the link to install it.
What is the Moon (Luna)?
The Moon (Luna) is a pendant that is coming: how Samantha will reach you. $1 holds your place, refundable anytime; the Kickstarter pledge is $499 when it launches in November, and it is expected to ship spring 2027. Samantha on your phone works today, without the Moon.
